FIRST Robotics Takes State (again)

It wasn't enough for Team Mean Machine to power through the state championship in Seattle last weekend--they had to take Oregon too.

FIRST Robotics once again showed their strength at the Portland Regional competition this past weekend. Competing against 59 teams, they became regional winners for the second time in two weekends. They will travel to St. Louis for World Championships on April 27. Wish them luck!

Update: The team was just informed of a mistake in the scoring from the Seattle Regional Competition. They actually won the cooperation award for best demonstrating the ability to help their opponents compete. This award is granted to the team that earns the most Cooperation Bonus points during the competition. So they actually won two awards and the first place trophy from Seattle as well as first place trophy from Portland. Great job, team!
